Slackline Around the World Week 8: SlackBiking to Some Fanfair in Chicago

“Slackline Around the World Week 8: SlackBiking to Some Fanfair in Chicago” Reposted from Wend Magazine’s blog.

Circled a few of the folks who were caught gawking at yours truly as I slackbiked my way out of Chicago. Since the trip from St Louis to Chicago was so short I decided I’d keep biking on to Asheville and leave my bike there. Planning to trade it to some lucky Ashevillian (?) for burritos, coffee, beer, or juice–or all of the above.

If Climate Change Was a Dog (cartoon)

We did know about climate change back in the 50′s, as evidenced by this Frank Capra Video on Global Warming. But even though it was a monster of a dog back then, it was still just a harmless little puppy.

Today, well, it’s different. And I don’t know how much I trust the little man controlling that monster of a dog. I think it’s a female dog too, so it’s safe to say climate change is a bitch, a scary three-headed bitch with a taste for blood!

The biotech and agrochemical industries are KILLING us! Well, atleast they are well aware of that and are working hard to clean up their act.
Oh wait, now I’m not telling the truth…

Slackline Around the World Week 7: Picked Up My Bike in St. Louis

Slackline Around the World Week 7: Picked Up My Bike in St. Louis–reposted from Wend Magazine’s blog.

I got to pick up my bike while in my hometown of St Louis. I figured I’d ride it to Chicago just to try slackbiking, and leave it there with a friend. Oddly, a bike on a slackline didn’t stand out too much as I passed St. Louis’s awesomely creative and fabulously entertaining City Museum. After passing there I proceeded through my wonderful neighborhood (the U City Loop) where I had a beer thrown up to me from my favorite bar.

Looking forward to biking to Chicago…

Slackline Around the World Week 6: Struck by Lightning in Omaha

Ran in to a little bad weather arriving in Omaha. After the lightning strike I rested a bit on the slackline. When I woke up the next morning the weather had cleared and I got to see Nebraska’s largest city (and the country’s 40th) in all of its glory. It is a beautiful little city along the Missouri River…although everything is beautiful when you survive a lightning strike.

Sex Sells…Wind Turbines

I’m on vacation this week (Smoky Mountains and Asheville, NC) so I am recycling some old favorite cartoons that were not published on Greenery. Can’t get much greener than a recycled cartoon–saves paper and electricity (less computer/scanner/photoshop time). Enjoy (again)!

Slackline Around the World Week 5: Chillin’ in Boulder (waiting for a burrito)

Follow the “Slackline Around the World” series on Wend Magazine’s blog.

Just waiting on my buddy, Mike to bring me a burrito and a clean shirt (…maybe from GoLite? Mike works for them–they do outdoor gear and ultra-light camping equipment, not burritos.) then it’s off to Omaha!

Happy Independence Day!

This is a touched up version of a cartoon I published for Independence Day 2008. Under the biker it used to say “…free from foreign oil”. I think the change to BP was fitting.
Same message though–DITCH YOUR CAR! RIDE YOUR BIKE!
