This is an updated gif from one I did in 2017 for Greenpeace. They wrote an in depth piece on the impact of the first ten years of smartphones. Although it’s almost 9 years old, it’s worth the read. I’d say just double the stats for an updated shock, however I’d bet my cartooning income that the impact has more than doubled.

Here’s another piece on the subject from FairPlanet.org. It’s a broad overview–I do think we need another in depth piece from Greenpeace to update us on the impact and hopefully inspire us to slow our collective roll.
