UCS cartoon contest: Last Day to VOTE

Every year the Union of Concerned Scientists has a cartoon contest featuring “editorial cartoons that poke fun at the not-so-humorous challenges to the complex relationship between science and democracy.” A few weeks back they chose their twelve favorite cartoons as finalists. Each finalist receives $500 and a spot in their 2013 calendar. The finalists are then presented to the public to vote on to see who wins the GRAND PRIZE. The grand prize winning cartoon graces the front cover of the calendar and wins another $500.
My cartoon, “Coal Mine” (below) became a finalist. You can vote for “Coal Mine” (#9) or the other 11 finalists here. I’m a big fan of #4 from Andrew M. Young.
