What’s Going On?

Three elected officials (Senators Barrasso and Hawley, and Representative McMorris Rogers), well connected and funded by the fossil fuel lobby (see their respective links), are accusing–without proof–that Jigar Shah (U.S. Department of Energy) has been corrupted by the clean energy sector. These rented pundits, paid to defend a dying fossil fuel industry, are screaming, “LOOK AT HIM (not us)!”

This one fell through the cracks a bit. Still, it’s certainly worthy of a cartoon to defend Shah while highlighting the hypocrisy of the Republican party. When will Republican voters understand what the world already knows–their heroes are simply doing the bidding of billionaires, and that’s all. Democrats are not in the clear by any means–but definitely the lesser of two evils by a long shot, as highlighted on the many lists of Open Secrets.
